Pier Luigi Lisco

Pier Luigi Lisco, born in Crotone in 1955, has always lived in Ferrara, where he obtained his classical high school diploma at the Ariosto high school.

Graduated from Medicine and Surgery at the University of Ferrara in 1979 in the first session, he attended the Institute of Medical Semeiotics of the University of Ferrara as a trainee, qualifying in 1989 as Internist Doctor, Specialized in Gastroenterology and Digestive Endoscopy with full marks and honors and in Medicine of Swimming and Underwater Activities (Chieti, 1986).
Captain Medical Reservist of the Italian Army, he was Medical Director of the Provincial Command of the Fire Brigade of Ferrara for 32 years, where he taught for the special corps of Divers and SAF (cave-alpine-river rescue).
Sports doctor, he is an ordinary member of the FMSI (Federation of Italian Sports Doctors), arbiter of the Sports Medicine Association of Ferrara and former arbiter of FIMMG, Technical Consultant of the Court of Ferrara since 1980. Former vice president of the World Medical Commission of the ITKF (International Traditional Karate Federation), has organized and attended health care at numerous world championships.

He has gained considerable operational experience, in Italy and abroad, in hyperbaric plants, archaeological excavations and research centers. He was operator of Helicopter Rescue and Hyperbaric Medicine at Europe Assistance. Speaker of national and international conferences of Underwater Medicine, Hyperbaric Medicine and Sports Medicine, he has numerous scientific publications to his credit in this field.
He was a doctor of the Italian National Team of Traditional Karate (FIKTA) and trainer of the technical cadres of the same Federation. Doctor of the FerraraNuoto competitive team. He was a doctor of the National Health Service, at the ASL of Ferrara from 1982 to 2022.

Currently, Dr. Lisco works as a freelance specialist in Gastroenterology, mainly dealing with digestive disorders and dietetics.
He has actively practiced numerous sports including tennis, skiing, judo, ju-jitsu, volleyball, horse riding, wind surfing, enduro motorcycles, master competitive swimming, diving as Master Instructor, competitive and operational dynamic shooting for armed defensive escort. Karate expert (black belt Master 6th Dan) and self defense instructor.
He loves animals and is passionate about pictorial and geopolitical criticism, he speaks French and English and has studied 4 other languages.
